Teen Charged In DC Event Shooting That Killed Juvenile, Wounded 3 Adults

Police have identified the victim and arrested the suspect in a D.C. homicide, officials said.

Sometime before 9 p.m. on June 19, 15-year-old Chase Poole shot four victims during an event that took place in the 2000 block of 14th Street, the Metropolitan Police Department reported.

The juvenile male victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Two adult male victims and one female victim were also taken to the hospital, and treated for non-life threatening injuries, police reported.

On August 18, through a DC Superior Court custody order, Poole was transferred to the Juvenile Processing Center and charged with first degree murder while armed, officials said.

Anyone with more information on this incident could be eligible for a $25,000 reward.
